International conference: “Symbolic Border Posts – Ideological Reinforcement of Frontiers in Europe”
On 14-15 October 2022, the MOBI in Kulice hosted another international conference entitled. “Symbolic Border Posts – Ideological Reinforcement of Frontiers in Europe”, organised by Dr Pawel Migdalski. It was attended by speakers from different countries, whose presentations considered various models for strengthening the narrative of symbolic border posts and cross-border processes. They generated many interesting discussions, both on very old historical topics, although still relevant in historical politics, such as the iron pole driven in by the Brave, and on completely contemporary ones, such as migrations during the war in Ukraine. The conference showed how topical the topic of border posts and their symbolisation still is, and how it should be given more space, especially in an interdisciplinary and comparative perspective.
