Historyk dziejów najnowszych i politolog. Doktorat na paryskiej Sorbonie (Paryż III). Od roku 2007 na Uniwersytecie Szczecińskim. Do jego głównych zainteresowań badawczych liczą stosunki polsko-niemieckie w kontekście międzynarodowym, procesy normalizacyjne i pojednawcze w Europie od roku 1945 oraz rola emocji w stosunkach międzynarodowych.
